Abbondanza | Montepulciano d'Abruzzo | 1L | Italy
Abruzzo makes wine like it has something to prove.
The region sits wedged between some of Italy's highest peaks and the Adriatic, which means the land has always had to work for it. Clay, limestone, and sand soils. Hot days, cold nights. The kind of place that produces wine with actual backbone. Abbondanza is Montepulciano d'Abruzzo from that environment, grown without pesticides or herbicides and made without unnecessary intervention.
It's a dark, full red with enough structure to hold up to real food but enough fruit to drink without ceremony. A fire pit bottle. A backyard dinner bottle. The kind of thing you open when the occasion calls for something substantial without requiring a conversation about it.
